WCNY ‘Ivory Tower’ moderator David Rubin to retire in December WCNY’s weekly public affairs TV program “Ivory Tower” will say goodbye to its long-time moderator, David Rubin. Rubin is also Dean and Professor Emeritus of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. “Ivory Tower” is WCNY’s weekly round-table discussion TV program that focuses on news and events from the diverse perspectives of faculty from colleges and universities across Central New York. Rubin will moderate his last show in an episode that airs Friday, Dec. 30 at 8 p.m. The program will be recorded before a live audience Dec. 16 at 9
