WCNY’s ‘Artifex’ to present feature about McGriff musicians Feb. 28 and March 2
February 27, 2014
WCNY’s weekly arts program “Artifex” will present a special segment about identical twins, North Syracuse natives, Syracuse University students and musicians Eric and Anthony McGriff at 7 p.m. Feb 28 on WCNY’s Plus channel.
It re-airs at 10:30 a.m. March 2 on WCNY and online at wcny.org/artifex.
“WCNY is committed to featuring local and compelling talent through our dynamic multimedia platforms,” said Robert J. Daino, WCNY president and CEO. “The McGriff brothers send a powerful message through their passion for music and we’re proud to share it with the communities we serve.”
The brothers are known for performing classical and contemporary music on violin and cello. Through their passion for music, they are advocates to help end violence.
“We work to raise awareness and teach others to develop a capacity to switch perspectives about domestic violence and masculinity, put yourself in somebody else’s shoes and then maybe we can move forward and make some progress and work together for a better community,” said Anthony McGriff.
