Aug. 23, 2016: money in politics, Mario Cilento, Sen. George Latimer, Bruce Gyory

Are billionaires manipulating New York elections? That’s what some advocacy groups claim. We heard from Michael Kink, the executive director of the Strong Economy for All Coalition, Inc, and Jasmine Gripper, the Legislative Director and Statewide Education Advocate for AQE, about money in politics this election.

We spoke with newly re-elected AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento.

Sen. George Latimer (D – Chester) made the case for his re-election in the 37th Senate District. We will hear from his Republican opponent Julie Killian later in the week.

Bruce Gyory, Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, discussed the next “gap” that could have a huge impact on elections: the climate change gap.
