Aug. 26, 2013: Prof. Christine Chung, pro-drilling advocate, Richard Brodsky
August 26, 2013
Prof. Christine Chung, co-director of the joint Albany Law School / University at Albany Institute for Financial Market Regulation, discusses the relationship between ailing cities and the municipal bond market. Chung is a former branch chief of the Enforcement Division of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
In the wake of Pres. Obama’s visit to the state (and the protests both for and against hydrofracking that his appearances fueled) pro-fracking advocate Karen Moreau, Executive Director of the New York State Petroleum Council, weighs in on the state’s growing gas infrastructure.
DEMOS and NYU Wagner School Fellow Richard Brodsky argues that neither of the Democratic candidates for mayor in Albany are really discussing how to fix the city’s financial crisis. “The best way to improve the chances of avoiding catastrophe, and even bankruptcy, is to first acknowledge the problem.”◄ Back to PodCasts
