August 8, 2019: CSEA’s Danny Donohue, Wind farm opposition

After serving for a quarter century as President of the Civil Service Employees Association, Danny Donohue announced he would not seek reelection to the post. Donohue stopped by for a look back at his time with the union and the future of the union movement in New York and the country.

The Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act sets into place a number of ambitious climate and renewable energy goals. However, some communities are concerned about the development of large-scale wind power plants in their localities. Gary Abraham, a lawyer representing some of these concern communities, discussed the impacts these plants can have.
