Tim Janis: Enchanted Evening

Price: $100.00

TIM JANIS: AN ENCHANTED EVENING interweaves stirring music with images of some of the most stunning vistas in the United States. Filmed before a live audience in North Berwick, Maine, the program features Tim Janis' 15-piece ensemble performing his uplifting instrumental compositions with special guests, including Grammy-winning R&B vocalist Lisa Fischer ("How Can I Ease the Pain"), recording artists Wendy Moten and Jim Cole, and Irish singer Cara Dillon.

Among his many accomplishments, Tim Janis has sold more than one million albums, hosted five national public television specials (including Tim Janis: Beautiful America and Tim Janis: Coastal America)and produced 10 Billboard-charting CDs. He has worked with some of the top artists in the music and entertainment business — from Paul McCartney, Billy Joel and Ray Charles, to George Clooney and James Earl Jones. In addition, Janis' projects also aim to advance important causes through music.

In 2005, Janis embarked on one of his most ambitious "Music With a Mission" projects to date: with the blessing of the Chinese government, the composer performed a series of concerts in China to promote the beauty of the United States' natural monuments and parks. Janis hoped to expose the Chinese people to a side of United States they might never have seen before, and potentially pave the way for further cooperation between the two countries. Janis followed this goodwill endeavor with a trip to Kenya, where he recorded music with 500 students as part of a fundraising project for African public education.
