Songwriter and performer Barry Manilow revisits the 70s for his new television special. Inspired by his highly anticipated CD, The Greatest Songs of the Seventies, the television event not only features Manilow in concert but also sharing his personal experiences with the audience. Manilow’s music is synonymous with the 70s. His songs helped define the era and, in this concert, he’ll revisit some of those songs -- as well as some of his own favorites from the decade. Barry Manilow: Songs from the Seventies was taped before a live audience at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, New York, a return to the city where Manilow was born and raised. Manilow also reunited with director David Mallet, who also directed last year’s Barry Manilow: Music and Passion for which Manilow won an Emmy Award for “Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program.” Disc #1: Barry Manilow: Songs From The Seventies Song list same as broadcast program: 1.
