Syracuse, NY, September 18, 2007 — Nicholas Bennett, Janeen Bonner, and Joanne Stewart have recently joined WCNY in Liverpool. Nicholas Bennett of Liverpool was hired as Coordinator, Interactive Education. Bennett is responsible for conducting workshops in the educational community and supporting education-driven initiatives at WCNY. Bennett earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education at Syracuse University and a Master’s Degree in Education at Elmira College. He is a former teacher who held a similar position at WSKG in Binghamton.
| Janeen Bonner of Syracuse, was hired as Director, Human Resources at WCNY. In this position, Bonner oversees employee relations, benefits administration, training and development, recruiting, compensation, and payroll. Bonner came to the station from Catholic Charities of Onondaga County where she was a Human Resources Generalist. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University. | Joanne Stewart of Syracuse has been appointed Director, Marketing and Communications. Stewart is responsible for communications and public relations for WCNY including branding, developing promotional material and grants writing, and is producing CNY Connected, the station’s bi-monthly magazine. Stewart earned Bachelor’s Degrees from Syracuse University and SUNY-ESF, and a Master’s Degree, also from SUNY-ESF. Stewart has 28 years of professional experience in market research, marketing management, consulting, and teaching. | New Graphic Designer Named at WCNY Syracuse, NY, September 24, 2007 -- WCNY welcomes Andrea Reeves of Baldwinsville NY, a talented and versatile graphic designer, to the WCNY Media Services Division. Reeves has been named Graphic Designer for CNY Connected, the station’s bi-monthly magazine, and is responsible for working with WCNY in-house staff as well as external clients served by Media Services with their graphic design needs. Reeves earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Syracuse University, and is a Professor of Art at Onondaga Community College. She is also the owner of Me, Myself an Eye, a freelance design studio located in Baldwinsville. Reeves also served seven years as Senior Art Director at WSYT/Fox 68 and UPN 43 in Syracuse.
| WCNY also announces the following new appointment: | Hayley Schultz of DeWitt has been named Special Projects and Financial Analyst. Schultz is responsible for researching, analyzing and reporting financial information, carrying out special projects, and contributing writing assignments in support of communication functions. Schultz was the station’s Director, Human Resources. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Syracuse University and a Master’s of Business Administration from Sage Graduate School. |
