WCNY-TV to air NEW YORK NOW featuring an exclusive interview with Governor Spitzer (December 07, 2007)

Troy, New York ? This weekend the audience of public broadcasting television stations across the state will be able to view an exclusive interview with Governor Eliot Spitzer that was conducted by Susan Arbetter, host and producer of WMHT-TV’s public affairs show, NEW YORK NOW.
In the interview, the Governor responds to Arbetter’s questions on a number of wide-ranging issues from horseracing in New York to important economic development initiatives to the welfare grant.  One of the liveliest exchanges of the interview came in response to Arbetter’s question about why the Governor has not yet testified under oath about the so-called “Troopergate” scandal.
Locally, this show will air on WCNY/ThinkBright (formerly WCNY/ Encore), Channel 24.2 (Time Warner Channel 851), on Friday, December 7 at 8 pm and Sunday, December 9 at 12:30 am. WCNY will also broadcast this edition of NEW YORK NOW on Channel 24 (Time Warner Channel 11) on Sunday, December 9 at 1 pm.
NEW YORK NOW premiered on WMHT-TV this past May.  It has since become the state’s number one public affairs show.  NEW YORK NOW is underwritten by United University Professions, The New York State Builder’s Association, The Empire Plan and Phillips Lytle, LLP.
In addition to its broadcast programs, NEW YORK NOW maintains a website and blog at
