WCNY Airs “New York State: A Place to Call Home” featuring First Lady Silda Wall Spitzer

Syracuse , New York : On September 18, 2007, First Lady Silda Wall Spitzer hosted the “I Live New York Summit” at SUNY Cortland. According to Spitzer (www.ny.gov), “The Summit aimed at taking a hard look at one of the most serious economic problems facing the State.” Spitzer also stated that her hope with the Summit was “to initiate a comprehensive and coordinated examination of the factors driving young people out of New York, and explore the public and private initiatives that may help reverse this trend” (www.ny.gov).

WCNY produced “New York State: A Place to Call Home”, featuring First Lady Spitzer, to continue the exploration. In this hour-long special, WCNY Host, George Kilpatrick, introduces us to a number of entrepreneurs who have become “experts” on the subject and who are actively engaged in the process. They will share their unique experiences, observations and recommendations. “New York State: A Place to Call Home” airs Wednesday, December 19 at 8:30 pm on WCNY Channel 24 (Time Warner Channel 11) and repeats Friday, December 28 at 11 pm.
