The Season 2 opener profiles Cuban salsa singer Celia Cruz (1925-2003), who rose to prominence in the 1950s as the lead singer of La Sonora Matancera, then launched a solo career in 1965. Included: her exile from Cuba following the Cuban revolution.

I’M AN ARTIST
Russian-born artist Boris Anisfeld (1879-1973), who gained fame as a stage designer but refused to be pigeonholed as one. Anisfeld brought his colorful "fantast" style to the U.S. in 1917, and influenced many painters via his Metropolitan Opera sets and a 30-year tenure at the Art Institute of Chicago.

The challenges facing the wildlife of Africa's 11,000-ft.-high Drakensberg Mountains are explored. Every spring, rain destroys the grasslands at the base, sending animals up cliffs of volcanic rock in search of the food found on the plateau.
