A Great Way To Encourage Kids To Write! The WCNY Treehouse Tales Young Writers and Illustrators Contest is an annual event that promotes literacy and creative expression by encouraging children to write and illustrate their own stories. The contest runs from January 5, 2009 to February 27, 2009. This year’s contest is open to students in First through Fourth grades (1-4). So pick up those pens, pencils, crayons, markers, or whatever you choose and start writing. Visit the Treehouse Tales webpage for contest rules, 2009 entry form, or to see previous winners.
