Vice President, Corporate Advancement
WCNY is seeking a thoughtful leader and strategist with strong interpersonal skills, experience managing multiple priorities/tasks in a dynamic environment, and an interest in working in a lean, rapidly changing organization. This position will lead WCNY’s strategic fundraising efforts as a key member of the management team. Duties include fundraising development and aggressive implementation through management of volunteers and staff; competitive market monitoring and analysis; brand management; grant writing/management, board liaison, and public relations. This position will develop and implement the overall cultivation, solicitation, marketing/communications, and stewardship strategies to drive WCNY’s emergence as a leader in public broadcasting.
Qualified candidate must have a BA/BS, significant development experience (capital campaign, major gifts, annual and endowment funding); working knowledge of prospect research; significant experience in direct, corporate, foundation, individual, capital and operations fundraising; five to ten years in development and strategic management; leadership experience in developing and executing strategies to accomplish ambitious goals; self-starter with excellent organization skills; ability to stay focused on long-term projects while remaining responsive to short-term deadlines, background and experience in the media/broadcasting industry, and above all be a passionate team player.

Grant Writer
WCNY, a multi-media enterprise and public broadcasting affiliate, seeks an experienced grantwriter to join its Corporate Advancement team. The individual will identify, define and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as coordinate the development, writing and submission of grant proposals to various entities. The position is also responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting data on the performance of program activities that are funded by public and private sources. Position reports to the Vice President of Corporate Advancement. Bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of five years related experience and a proven track record in grant writing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Account Executive
WCNY, recognized as setting a new business model for the future of PBS, is seeking an energetic and highly motivated sales professional to join our team. Responsible for securing and maintaining corporate sponsorships and advertising for WCNY-TV, WCNY2 cable, Classic FM and new HD radio formats, CNY Connected magazine and website. Media sales experience a plus, proven sales track record a must. We offer base salary plus commission.

Media Account Executive
WCNY Axxess Productions, a division of WCNY; is seeking a highly motivated sales professional to develop new business and secure multi-media projects. This individual will work closely with our clients as their liaison with our media division.
