Notes From Your Host The Stories Behind the Music for the November 15 Show: George Gershwin was only 39 years old when he died in 1937. Yet, his genius in creating songs for Broadway, Hollywood and the Concert stage was staggering. It’s astonishing to hear and reflect on the extraordinary songs George and his brother Ira created.
