12-1 p.m.: Spotlight on “This Old House” at Chevy Court

Don’t miss a single how-to minute of fun! Courtesy of WCNY, crew members of the Emmy Award-winning favorite home improvement series, “This Old House,” are taking center stage at Chevy Court on August 26! They’ll be on-hand and hands-on, geared up to discuss current and future home improvement projects, hammer out the use of a mysterious home improvement object just like on their “What Is It?” program segment and offer some timely energy-saving tips for fall and winter. Stick around until the end of the hour for a Q&A where audience members can ask some how-to questions of their own!

2-3:30 p.m.: “This Old House” V.I.P. Party at the Empire Room

The excitement is building! In this rare private event, attendees will receive one-on-one time with the “This Old House” crew members. Ever want to drill the “This Old House” experts for tips on installing a soapstone countertop? Or do you simply want an autograph as keepsake? This private party to support WCNY will feature an information Q&A session, some behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the crew, tasty hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and an autographed work apron.
