WCNY WELCOMES DISTINGUISHED BOARD MEMBER
 | WCNY President and Chief Executive Officer Robert J. Daino announced the appointment of David M. Rubin to the Board of Trustees at WCNY. Dr. Rubin was dean of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University from July 1990 to June 2008. He is also the moderator and host of "The Ivory Tower Half Hour," the popular program on WCNY-TV (Channel 24) Fridays at 8 p.m. which features a regular panel of Central New York academicians talking about state, national and world affairs.
In announcing the appointment, Daino said: “We are so pleased to welcome this distinguished academic to our Board. His expertise will help guide us as we stay focused on our core mission: education. We will also benefit greatly from his knowledge of the role the media plays in the community and his passion for classical music.”
