Monday through Friday at 7pm , CLASSIC FM presents Bill McGlaughlin’s program “Exploring Music”. Some listeners may know Bill as host of the immensely popular, long-running radio program “St. Paul Sunday”. Since October, 2003, though, Bill has hosted this very personal creation of his, the syndicated “Exploring Music”. The program format is one hour, five consecutive days and gives Bill the opportunity to share his wealth of knowledge that spreads all across the music spectrum as performer, conductor, composer, educator, host, and avid listener.
Bill’s programs have looked at the Beethoven quartets, “Music in the Time of War”, “Magnificent Magyars”, regular forays into Listener Favorites, plus dozens of pieces of music that his fertile mind grouped together as no one else could: “It was a lover and his lass” for Valentine’s Day, “A Little Traveling Music, Please” with no apologies to fans of Jackie Gleason, “In a Family Way”, and so on.
You will find that you will want to share the information you learn from a program with your friends and colleagues... and oft’ times, there are several “oh wow” moments in a program.
