SYRACUSE, NY, (January 5, 2010) – WCNY’s annual Travel Auction is kicking off January 15 on WCNY 24.1. Each broadcast begins at 6:00 p.m. and the auction runs January 15-17 and January 22-23.
Currently in its 15th year, WCNY’s Travel Auction partners with hotels, bed & breakfasts, cruise lines, and airlines to provide bidders with exceptional vacation destinations. All proceeds benefit WCNY, Central New York’s Public Broadcasting Service affiliate station.
With over 800 travel packages to choose from, this year’s Travel Auction promises many exciting getaways both close to home and across the globe. Available trips up for auction include such destinations as Switzerland, the Caribbean, Canada, Florida, Boston, New York trips, and many more. Bidders need a WCNY member number to place a bid. If you wish to participate in the auction and are not a WCNY member or if your membership expires before the end of the Travel Auction, call 315-453-2424 to join or renew.
