	On the Next WCNY Business Close Up May 15th at 9:00pm WCNY Business Close-Up is Going to the Dogs! Jion us as we take a trip to a veterinary emergency room in Baldwinsville where Dr. Holly Reid tends to urgent care patients. Also, meet one local entrepreneur who translated her beloved dog’s needs into the successful and award-winning business, Canines Unleashed. Finally, find out why the group “Unshackle Upstate” continues to press for an Upstate New York economic focus and Brownfields legislative reform. This episode of “WCNY Business Close-Up” airs on WCNY-TV (Channel 24), Thursday, May 15th at 9 p.m. and repeats on Friday, May 16th and Sunday, May 18th at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on WCNY2.

WCNY Business Close-Up is designed to offer business news, trends, advice and spotlight Central New York companies that are thriving here in Central New York. In most cases, local business news dwells on the failures; lost contracts, reduced workforce and plant closings. WCNY Business Close-Up, recognizes the men and women who have decided that Central New York will be the base of their operation and are aggressively marketing their products locally, nationally and globally. The program talks to key players in the business operation and discovers what they value about their business and what they can offer as advice for other local businesses and entrepreneurs. The program offers all of us in the business world expert advice from credible sources and recognized business and community leaders. The producers realize good business is happening here and we want to expose it and chip away at the cloud negativism surrounding the economic climate in Upstate New York.


	A native of Seneca Falls. Bill Baker graduated from Marist Collage with a degree in French. For 11 years, he was a high school french teacher before beginning his broadcast career. His community efforts have been recognized by such organizations as the Red Cross of Central New York Blood Services, Success by 6 and Contact of Syracuse. He has also received numerous award from the Syracuse Ad Club and New York State Associated Press.
