Digital Channels - WCNY offers digital television programming

“WCNY offers digital television programming 24 hours a day … you can’t be more connected than that”, says Vice President of Technology & Operations, John Duffy, a 30-plus year veteran of WCNY.

WCNY-TV channels are carried by 33 cable carriers including Time Warner, the largest. Now, over 800,000 Central New York cable subscribers can receive our programs via cable.

In 2002, WCNY was the first television station in our broadcasting network to embrace digital and high definition technology, upgrading our capabilities and capacity to air multiple channels. We now have five. [WCNY/BROADCAST COVERAGE] To date, nearly 500,000 subscribers can receive our programs via digital channels.
