Court of Appeals Chief Judge Jonathan Lippman weighs in on his judicial priorities for the year, including Grand Jury reform.
This week, New York’s Labor Board approved raising the tipped wage to $7.50 an hour beginning Dec. 31, 2015. The hospitality industry called the decision troubling. We’ll hear reaction from Scott Wexler, the Executive Director of the Empire State Restaurant & Tavern Association, and Jay Holland, the Government Affairs Coordinator for the New York State Restaurant Association.
Then, Michael Kink, the Executive Director of Strong Economy for All, and Ron Deutsch, the Executive Director of the Fiscal Policy Institute, share their praise for the increased tipped wage. They’ll also weigh in on the Governor’s decision to include Sen. Jeff Klein (D – Bronx) in the budget negotiations.
