Former counsel to Governor Mario Cuomo attorney Evan Davis shares some details from “Hope for JCOPE” a report released Friday by Common Cause & the New York City Bar that was critical of, but hopeful for, the Joint Commission on Public Ethics.
The Senate’s one-house budget resolution includes a provision giving Yonkers Mayor Michael Spano mayoral control over the troubled Yonkers School District. But several Westchester lawmakers have concerns about the move including Senators Andrea Stewart-Cousins and George Latimer as well as Assemblymembers Gary Pretlow and Shelley Mayer. Assemblywoman Shelley Mayer joins us to discuss the situation.
