April 24, 2014: Sen. Gipson, Jerry Kremer, Scaffold Law

Senator Terry Gipson (D-Dutchess) has introduced legislation to keep the wastewater from hydrofracking off the state’s roads and bridges. Currently, several counties use the water as an inexpensive way to melt ice. He joins us to discuss the bill.

The legislature returns on Monday after a long break. What should we look for in the rest of the legislative session? Jerry Kremer, former Assemblyman and founder and chairman of Empire Government Strategies weighs in.

We discuss the Scaffold Law with two people who hold opposing views on the issue: Dr. Michael Hattery, director of local government studies at the Rockefeller Institute, and Connie M. Razza, director of strategic research at the Center for Popular Democracy.
