May 14, 2014: GMO labeling bill, Business Council, anti-human trafficking, Senate Democrats, Larry Levy

President of the Farm Bureau Dean Norton and the Executive Director of the Northeast Agribusiness and Feed Alliance Rick Zimmerman argue against the GMO labeling bill that advanced out of an Assembly committee last week.

The Business Council’s Vice President of Government Affairs Ken Pokalsky will be in the hut to discuss the group’s legislative agenda which includes Brownfields legislation.

There is a push to separate out and pass the Anti-Human Trafficking portion of the 10-point Women’s Equality Agenda. Advocate Denise Murphy-McGraw discusses this strategic decision.

Senate Democrats are pushing a package of anti-fracking legislation. Senator Ted O’Brien, Ranking Member of the Senate Environmental Conservation Committee and Senator Cecelia Tkaczyk will be here with details.
