June 17, 2014: Governor Cuomo, Bobbi Chase Wilding, Asm. Joe Morelle, push against Common Core

Governor Andrew Cuomo on teacher evaluations and medical marijuana legislation.

Bobbi Chase Wilding, Deputy Director, Clean and Healthy New York reports that the Child Safe Products Act now has more than 40 co-sponsors. She joins us to push for a vote on the bill.

Assembly Majority Joseph Morelle discusses end-of-session legislation including brownfields, minimum wage, medical marijuana, teacher evaluations and the 3-year moratorium on fracking that passed yesterday in the Assembly.

Parents and teachers from around the state are converging on Albany today to push the state to opt out of the Common Core standards. We will hear from Monica Kounter, an Albany-area parent and Danielle Flora of Long Island, a guidance counselor and mother of three school-age children and co-founder of Long Islanders United Against the Common Core.
