July 8, 2015: Senate Majority John Flanagan, Blair Horner, Richard Kauffman, Hillary Peckham
July 8, 2015
Today, Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan (R – Smithtown) analyzes the past session and looks ahead at what’s next.
NYPIRG’s Legislative Director Blair Horner reviews the nuts and bolts of the session: how many bills passed one or two houses, how many passed with a message of necessity, how this session compares to previous years, etc.
Yesterday, we heard from Mark Dunlea about his analysis of, and objections to, the 2015 New York State Energy Plan. Today, Richard Kauffman, Chairman of Energy and Finance for New York State, responds to some of those objections, and details the vision for the state’s energy future.
Finally, Hillary Peckham, the Chief Operations Officer for Etain, LLC, makes the case why her family and women-owned company should receive one of the five licenses to manufacture and distribute medical marijuana in New York State.◄ Back to PodCasts
