Sept. 11, 2014: Zephyr Teachout and Tim Wu, Asm. Morelle, Asm. Pretlow and Sen. Bonacic, Phillip Musegaas

Zephyr Teachout and Tim Wu reflect on their influential primary campaign.

It’s been a tough few weeks for Rochester with the death of city police officer Daryl Pierson, and then the plane crash in which long-time business leaders Larry and Jane Glazer were killed. Assembly Majority Leader Joe Morelle joins us to talk about both tragedies.

The companies interested in building casinos in New York presented proposals to the gaming commission this week. Could their success or failure be influenced by the demise of Atlantic City? Or the possibility that New Jersey may choose to build a destination casino at the Meadowlands? We will speak with both Senator John Bonacic, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Racing, Wagering and Gaming and Assemblyman Gary Pretlow the Chairman of the Assembly Racing and Wagering Committee.

What was with the illegal construction happening at the Tappan Zee bridge recently? We will discuss the issue with Phillip Musegaas, the Hudson River Program Director at Riverkeeper.
