Nov. 18, 2014: ATV laws, Sen. Griffo, Cayuga power-plant

A hot ticket item this coming session will be whether to change the weight limit to allow bigger All-terrain Vehicles on New York’s parks and trails. We’ll hear both sides of the argument:

  • First, J. R. Burke, State & Provincial Government Relations Manager for Polaris Industries, shares the benefits of increasing the weight limits.
  • Then, Bill Cooke, Director of Government Relations for Citizens Campaign for the Environment, explains the downsides to changing NY’s ATV laws.

Senator Joseph Griffo weighs in on the upcoming session, the GOP/IDC relationship, and the possible legislative pay raise.

Carol Chock of the Tompkins County Legislature and Linda Lavine of the Dryden Town Board explain the re-powering of the coal-burning Cayuga power-plant.
