Calling him a fellow “Queens boy”, Governor Andrew Cuomo today defended NYC Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch’s recent remarks about Mayor di Blasio saying Lynch’s comments were uttered in the heat of the moment. Lynch has requested that rank and file NYPD officers sign a petition barring both the Mayor and the City Council Speaker from their funerals should they die in the line of duty.
