Dec. 1, 2016: Jim Heaney, FOIL victory, Chancellor Zimpher, World AIDS Day

What will the free press look like under a Trump presidency? Jim Heaney, founder, editor and executive director of
Investigative Post, shared his take.

FOIL won a victory this week in Albany. Asm. David Buchwald (D – Mount Kisco) and John Kaehny, the executive director of Reinvent Albany, provided details of the win for transparency in government.

SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher joined Susan to explain the possibility of higher tuition for SUNY and its 2017-18 state budget request.

On World AIDS Day, we hosted Amanda Lugg, an LGBT woman of Ugandan birth parents; she was adopted by a British family and later immigrated to the U.S. to do work around AIDS. Lugg is currently the chairperson of Health GAP, an organization working to accelerate the end of AIDS.
