Contest rules
WCNY is sponsoring a Sweepstakes in which one (1) winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entrants to receive a PBS Prize Pack (value of $100) (the "WCNY Sweepstakes"). See below for official rules of participation (the "Official Rules").
Eligibility
The WCNY Sweepstakes shall be administered in the County of Onondaga, State of New York, but shall be open to all U.S. residents. Employees, officers, and directors of WCNY, its subsidiaries and affiliated companies, their immediate families and those living in their households, are not eligible to participate. No purchase is necessary. Void where prohibited.
How to Enter
There are 2 ways to enter the WCNY Sweepstakes:
- Online: Entrants may enter online by visiting WCNY.ORG and submitting their name and email address.
- On-Site: Entrants may enter in person by visiting the WCNY offices located at 506 Old Liverpool Road, Syracuse, New York 13220 and providing their name and email address.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of entries received. One entry per person. Duplicate entries will be voided. Names and email addresses of entrants will be kept confidential and not distributed to parties outside of WCNY. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.
Duration
Entries for the WCNY Sweepstakes must be received between 9 a.m. EST Oct. 1, 2012, and 5 p.m. EST Oct. 31, 2012.
Selection of Winner
Online, and On-Site, Entries will be combined to form a single pool of entrants. One (1) winner will be randomly selected from the pool of entrants on Nov. 1, 2012, at 9 a.m. EST at the offices of WCNY. The winner will be notified by e-mail or phone on Nov. 5, 2012. If the winner is a under the age of majority, the prize will be awarded to the winner's parent or legal guardian. WCNY will photograph the winner. By participating in the WCNY Sweepstakes, the winner grants permission to WCNY to use his or her name, picture, likeness, and city and state of residence for purposes of marketing, advertisement, or promotion without compensation therefore, except as required by law.
Prize
The winner will receive a PBS Prize Pack (value of $100). This prize will be available for pick up only at WCNY's broadcast location on 506 Old Liverpool Road, Liverpool, N.Y. 13088
Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer of Warranty
By participating, entrants and winner agree to release and hold harmless WCNY, its affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies and the officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents of thereof from any and all liability for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever including without limitation, property damage, personal injury and/or death which may occur in connection with, preparation for, travel to, or participation in the WCNY Sweepstakes, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any WCNY Sweepstakes-related activity and for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. The prize is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied.
Governing Law
The WCNY Sweepstakes shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York without regard to conflict of laws provision.
