Teachers who are looking to begin incorporating engineering design in their science lessons are invited to participate in a free professional development workshop sponsored by WCNY and partners Center for Instruction, Technology, and Innovation (CITI), OCM-BOCES, and O-H-M BOCES, in conjunction with WNET/Thirteen.

Teachers in grades 3–5 will explore how to teach the engineering design process using resources from PBS LearningMedia, a free, online service that contains thousands of media-rich engineering resources. Participants will also undertake an engineering design challenge, which will inform the planning of an engineering lesson for their classroom.

Teachers will also participate in a 90-minute follow-up session to share their lessons and learn from each other’s experiences.

Participants will earn CTLE credits.
