Bill Knowlton’s 40thBluegrass Ramble Picnic is set for Sunday, August 5thfrom 10am ‘til 6pm once again at Little York, NY, Exit 13 off Interstate Route 81.  17 Bluegrass and Oldtime Bands plus the host band the Delaney Brothers will pick, play, fiddle, and sing under the tent in the oldest bluegrass festival in New York. The Arts at Grace concert series will host the chamber trio MAYA on Sunday, May 20that 3pm in Grace-Holy Spirit Church, 13 Court Street, Cortland.  The ensemble of flute, harp, and percussion performs music from the 15thto the 21stcenturies, presenting works from a broad variety of composers and cultures.  There is no charge for admission… donations are gratefully accepted.

Civic Morning Musicals proudly presents the young musicians of Junior Pro Art on Sunday, May 20that 7pm in a benefit for First Unitarian Universalist Society of Syracuse, performance at the hall 109 Waring Road, Syracuse, corner of Nottingham.  The program features a broad array of instruments, performers, and composers, including an original student composition.  A free-will offering will be collected for this brief, delightful concert… to support the efforts of Junior Pro Art.

Cornell University’s Department of Music will present its 5thAnnual International Chamber Music Festival, Sunday, May 20th– Wednesday, May 23rd.  Concerts open in the new Milstein Hall then move to Barnes Hall, where festival special guests cellist Zvi Plesser and violinist Xiao-Dong Wang will add to the celebration of three generations of Cornell pianists:  Malcolm Bilson, Miri Yampolsky, and Andrew Zhou.
