Reporter Matt Hamilton of City and State joins us with the Winners & Losers of the Week.

It has been an especially busy week in Albany. The Albany Times Union’s Casey Seiler, and the NY Daily News’ Ken Lovett will provide some political analysis to help us make sense of it all.

The Governor proposed a “Smart Schools” bond referendum in his State of the State on Wednesday:  It is a $2-billion dollar bond act designed to level the digital divide in our schools.  Dr. Jim Malatras, SUNY’s Vice Chancellor for Policy & Chief of Staff joins us to unpack this new idea.

On the energy front, Governor Cuomo proposed updating and enhancing the state’s electric power grid.  Tom Rumsey of the New York State Independent System Operation will explain the challenges that currently face the system, and what the possible solutions are.
