Today marks three years since Kalief Browder took his own life after serving three years at Rikers Island for a crime he did not commit. Now, activists are working to change the bail laws that kept Kalief in jail. Akeem Browder, Kalief’s brother, and Gabriel Sayegh, co-founder and co-Executive Director of the Katal Center for Health, Equity, and Justice, discussed the bail reform efforts.
