A Great Way To Encourage Children To Write!
Each year, WCNY hosts the “Treehouse Tale Young Writers and Illustrators Contest” for students in grades 1-4 to promote literacy and creative expression by encouraging children to write and illustrate their own stories.
Students in WCNY’s 19-county viewing area are eligible to enter the contest. The deadline for all entries is March 3.
All entrants will receive a certificate of participation. WCNY’s judging teams will choose a first-, second- and third-place winner from each grade, with prizes awarded at a public award ceremony April 9 where winners will present their tales.
