March 22, 2016: Chancellor Nancy Zimpher, Billy Easton, Chancellor-elect Betty Rosa, brain injury advocacy

We spoke with SUNY Chancellor Nancy Zimpher about the future of the state’s colleges.

We met Regents Chancellor-elect Betty Rosa.

Billy Easton, Executive Director of the Alliance for Quality Education, discussed education budget funding and shares the group’s reaction to the Regents election.

March is Brain Injury Awareness Month, and Wednesday, March 23rd is the first-ever Brain Injury Advocacy Day in Albany. A primary focus of Advocacy Day is the plan by state DOH to move New Yorkers with the most serious brain injuries, who receive care through Medicaid, into managed care. Both one-house budgets include language to block the plan. We spoke with Victoria Clingan, Director of Engagement & Outreach for the Brain Injury Association of New York State.
