March 28, 2018: Asm. Sean Ryan and Doug Wood

Depending on who you ask, the latest wireless technology called 5G will make the “internet of things” a reality for many Americans and help close the digital divide. Or, all of the wireless antennas to make it happen will lower property values and circumvent local control. While the issue has fallen out of the state budget, it will re-emerge before the end of the legislative session. Sean Ryan (D-Buffalo), chair of the Assembly Commission on Science and Technology and activist Doug Wood, Founder and Associate Director of Grassroots Environmental Education.
