Gerald Benjamin, SUNY New Paltz’s Associate Vice President for Regional Engagement, provided an update on the trials of former Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and former Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos.

Karl Sleight, an attorney with the Harris Beach law firm who focuses on racing and gaming, explained the nuances of Attorney General Schneiderman’s cease and desist letter against DraftKings and FanDuel, two major players in fantasy football.

The Assembly Democrats are caucusing in Albany today. Asm. Sean Ryan (D – Buffalo) and Asm. Anthony Brindisi (D – Utica) called on the state to adjust test regulations for English language learners and children with disabilities.

Yesterday, the Cuomo Administration sent a letter to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission opposing a renewal of Entergy’s Indian Point Nuclear Facilities plant license. We discussed the future of Indian Point with Riverkeeper President Paul Gallay.
