Superintendents believe the controversies over testing, standards, and teacher evaluations are hurting schools. Bob Lowry, New York State Council of School Superintendents’ Deputy Director for Advocacy and Communication, explains a recent survey of NYSCOSS members.
How are kids’ anxiety affected by new testing expectations? David Albert, Director of Communications, Research and Marketing at the New York State School Boards Association, will discuss a new report exploring test anxiety. He’ll also look at school finance struggles in a year when the tax cap will be flat.
