University at Albany President Dr. Robert Jones joined Susan Arbetter for a look at initiatives the college has planned to expand enrollment.
Entergy has announced plans to shut down the FitzPatrick nuclear plant in Oswego County, which employs 615 people and generates about four percent of the state’s energy supply. Gov. Cuomo pushed back and is currently in talks with Entergy. We spoke with Syracuse Post Standard Tim Knauss.
A New York Times investigation found that at one school within Eva Moskowitz’s Success Academy Charter School network, a principal was weeding out troublesome students using a “Got to Go” list. Moskowitz has denied that it is network policy to dump struggling students. We heard from Karen Scharff, Citizen Union’s executive director, a critic of charter schools.
