E.J. McMahon, president and founder of the Empire Center for New York Policy, will discuss a recent string of plant closures and layoff announcements around the state, as well as the group’s analysis opposing a $15/hr. minimum wage hike.
We will hear the arguments in favor of a $15/hr. statewide minimum wage from Michael Kink, executive director of Strong Economy for All Coalition and Jessica Wisneski, Legislative and Campaigns director for Citizen Action of New York.
We will look at an Educational Conference Board (ECB) report detailing how much aid schools will need to stay viable. ECB Chair John Yagielski and NYS Congress of Parents and Teachers (NYS PTA) Executive Director Rick Longhurst will join Susan Arbetter to explain the call for more funding.◄ Back to PodCasts
