The Syracuse University Opera Workshop is doing something a little different this semester.  They are presenting a staged song-cycle of “Vignettes: Ellis Island,” based on stories and letters of immigrants arriving through Ellis Island.

Workshop director, Dr. Kathleen Roland-Silverstein, brought some of the talented performers to the WCNY studios to talk to mid-day host Diane Jones about the performance and the importance of the Opera Workshop.

Information about the upcoming performance can be found here.
