In 2016, Gary Johnson secured nearly 4 percent of the nationwide vote as the Libertarian presidential nominee. This cycle, businessman Larry Sharpe is looking to build on that momentum and finally push the Libertarian Party past the 50,000 vote threshold it needs to qualify for automatic ballot access for the first time in the state party’s history.
