New York hasn’t elected a candidate outside of the Democratic or Republican parties to the Governor’s office since the Whigs in 1854. The Serve America Movement is hoping to break that 160 year long stretch by electing former Syracuse Mayor Stephanie Miner.

In an interview taped Wednesday morning, Mayor Miner and her running mate, Pelham Mayor Michael Volpe sat down for the third of our hour-long conversations with the candidates running to be the next Governor of New York. The conversation touches on issues impacting municipalities, working across the aisle, and taxes.
