‘Robin Williams Remembered: A Pioneers of Television Special’ airs Sept. 9 on WCNY

PBS remembers the life of legendary entertainer Robin Williams. For decades, Williams delighted audiences with his quirky and manic comedic styles in roles like “Mork and Mindy,” “Mrs. Doubtfire,” among others. He was also an accomplished dramatic actor, appearing in films like “Dead Poets Society,” “The Fisher King,” and “Good Will Hunting,” for which he won the Academy Award for best supporting actor. Williams made multiple appearances on PBS on Pioneers of Television, interviews with Charlie Rose, and Independent Lens.
