On Legislative Primary Day, Susan speaks with Sen. Mike Gianaris (D – Queens), the Chair of the State Democratic Senate Campaign Committee, about the Senate Democrats’ battle for control of the Senate.

We discuss the launch of the New York Offshore Wind Alliance with Liz Gordon, the Director of the New York Offshore Wind Alliance, and Clint Plummer, Vice President of Development for Deepwater Wind.

We speak with Education Law Center senior attorney Wendy Lecker about an Alliance for Quality Education lawsuit pressing the Cuomo Administration to release grants for nine schools at risk of receivership.

Individuals and families in shelters and on the streets are often left without a permanent exit out of the system because of the cost of housing. Housing advocates petitioned lawmakers for added funding to aid in the transition. The lawmakers then reached an MOU on supportive housing before the budget passed but failed to live up to the agreement this session. In response, the housing groups filed their own MOU – Laura Mascuch, executive director of the Supportive Housing Network of New York, explained.
