Sen. Cathy Young (R – Olean), the Chair of the New York State Senate Republican Campaign Committee, joined Susan in the studio to look at the struggle for control of the State Senate.

Gov. Cuomo urged the Division of Budget to release nearly $2 billion for homelessness and affordable housing yesterday in a memorandum of understanding. However, the MOU still needs the signatures of both Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie and Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan. Today we spoke with Jolie Milstein, the President and CEO of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing, and Laura Mascuch, the executive director of the Supportive Housing Newtork of New York, about the language of Gov. Cuomo’s MOU.

We heard from political analysts Bob Bellafiore, Founder of Stanhope Founders, and Steve Greenberg, Founder and Principal of Greenberg Public Relations, about the upcoming presidential debates and what expectations of privacy presidential candidates ought to have.

Finally, Bruce A. Goldstein, an attorney with Kenney Shelton Liptak Nowak LLP, explained a new class-action lawsuit alleging that the Cuomo Administration has failed to provide adequate opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities.
