YouTube TV (owned by Google) is a virtual multichannel video programming distributor or vMVPD, that offers a subscription service for channels from major broadcast networks and local affiliates, in the form of live and on-demand programming, that is delivered over the internet to web, mobile, and Over-The Top (OTT) apps.
WCNY is already available on regular TV via cable and Over-The-Air (OTA) as well as computers, mobile phones and Smart TV’s via WCNY, PBS and Passport apps. Now with a subscription to YouTube TV, viewers will have another way to access WCNY’s live national broadcast of PBS and PBS KIDS on their mobile phones, computers, and Smart TV’s.
