Dec. 15, 2016: Asm. O’Donnell, Dick Dadey, Sen. Griffo, Save our WNYCPC

We analyzed investigations into racial bias in the state’s prison and parole system.

Citizens Union brought a federal lawsuit this week against the Governor, certain members of JCOPE, and the Attorney General alleging that portions of recently enacted state law on donor disclosure violates IRS rules and the First Amendment. Citizens Union Executive Director Dick Dadey had more.

And we heard about the fight to keep the WNY Children’s Psychiatric Center in West Seneca separate from the Buffalo Psychiatric Center; the merger would relocate vulnerable children. Our guests are David Chudy, a spokesperson for Save Our WNYCPC with a social work background, and Allison Scanlon, a parent advocate with Save Our WNYCPC.
